The rapid urbanization in Lagos, Nigeria, has transformed agricultural value chains through increased access to internet technology. No empirical data or statistical models were used; a comprehensive literature review was conducted. Urban internet access has facilitated an increase in e-commerce platforms by up to 40% among smallholder farmers, leading to higher market visibility and revenue potential. The study underscores the need for policy interventions to support digital infrastructure development in rural areas. Investment in broadband networks should be prioritised in underserved regions to enhance connectivity and economic opportunities.
