Abstract

Health systems in Uganda have faced significant challenges during various epidemics. A mixed methods study combining quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews, data from the Ministry of Health, and secondary sources. Health facilities reported a significant increase in patient load by 20% during peak periods of Ebola response (). Ugandan health systems demonstrated remarkable resilience but faced critical infrastructure gaps and resource shortages. Investment in digital health platforms for real-time data sharing and training programmes for healthcare workers are recommended. Health Systems Resilience, Epidemics, Uganda, Mixed Methods Study
