Abstract

The legal frameworks in Guinea-Bissau are a reflection of broader gender dynamics within Sub-Saharan Africa. An interpretative review of existing legislation, judicial decisions, and scholarly literature to analyse the intersectionality of law and gender policies. The need for more inclusive representation in decision-making processes is evident to address ongoing inequalities. Enhanced training programmes for lawmakers on gender-sensitive legislation are recommended, alongside continued monitoring of legal reforms' effectiveness.
