Abstract

Access to justice in urban slums of Togo is severely constrained by socio-economic barriers, including poverty and limited access to legal information. The study employs qualitative research methods, focusing on key informants from urban slum communities and legal service providers. The theoretical framework underscores the need for targeted interventions that address both structural inequalities and individual access challenges. Policy recommendations include integrating urban slum development with justice system reforms, enhancing community education programmes on legal rights, and improving financial support mechanisms for litigants.
