Urban youth in Lagos face significant maternal health challenges, including high rates of unsafe abortions and limited access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare services. A mixed-methods study combining quantitative surveys with qualitative focus groups and key informant interviews. Data were collected from a purposive sample of 200 urban youth and 25 community leaders. Findings indicate that the tailored interventions significantly improved knowledge about reproductive health, with more than half (54%) reporting increased awareness post-intervention. The study underscores the effectiveness of targeted educational programmes in enhancing maternal health literacy among urban youth in Lagos. Further research should focus on sustainability and scalability of these interventions to broader populations. Policy makers are encouraged to integrate similar community-based initiatives into existing healthcare frameworks.
