Abstract
Post-conflict Rwanda has experienced significant social and psychological challenges following a decades-long civil war. A comparative analytical study was conducted using qualitative data from interviews and focus groups in three post-conflict regions of Rwanda. Findings revealed that approximately 40% of participants reported symptoms of PTSD, indicating the prevalence of trauma-related disorders. The study highlights the critical need for comprehensive psychosocial interventions to support mental health recovery in Rwandan communities. Recommendation is made for increased funding and resource allocation towards mental health services in post-conflict settings.
