Abstract

This study examines comparative educational practices in Sierra Leone's African regions during a specific academic year. A mixed-methods approach was employed, incorporating surveys, interviews with educators and students, and observations in schools. Data were analysed using thematic coding for qualitative insights and statistical analysis for quantitative data. Findings indicate significant variations in educational resources availability between urban and rural areas, affecting student performance and teacher satisfaction levels. The study underscores the importance of addressing regional disparities to enhance educational equity and effectiveness. Policy recommendations include targeted resource allocation for underprivileged regions and professional development programmes for teachers serving remote locations.
