Abstract

Digital cultural heritage in Ethiopia faces unique challenges due to resource limitations such as funding, infrastructure, and human expertise. A participatory approach involving local communities, cultural institutions, and technology experts to identify needs and propose solutions. This perspective piece outlines a tailored strategy for digital cultural heritage preservation that balances cost-effectiveness with effectiveness. Invest in community-led initiatives to foster ownership and sustainability of digital preservation projects. Utilise existing infrastructures and local expertise to reduce costs.
